How New York Business Systems collects, uses and protects the information you share through nybs.com.

Who we are

What we collect

  • Information you give us in our forms: name, company, email, phone number and your message, when you request a quote, contact us or ask for an introduction to our managed IT partner.
  • Customer portal requests: service, supply, meter and billing requests you submit through our customer portal, which is hosted by Jotform.
  • Remote support: during a remote support session that you start, our technician can see your screen through ConnectWise ScreenConnect.
  • Website use: pages visited, the site that referred you, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through cookies once you accept them.

Cookies and analytics

We use HubSpot and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. When you first visit, a banner asks whether to allow these cookies. If you decline, one cookie remembers that choice. Some cookies are needed for the site and its forms to work and are set regardless of that choice.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your request and prepare quotes, to deliver service and supplies, to send account information and to improve our website. If you opt in, we may also email you about products and services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that run our website, forms and support tools: HubSpot, Google, Jotform and ConnectWise.
  • Equipment manufacturers and leasing companies, when needed to provide the warranty service, supplies or financing you ask us for.
  • Executel, our managed IT partner, only when you ask us for an introduction.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

How we protect it

The site uses HTTPS encryption, and access to customer records is limited to staff who need it. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

Your choices

You can change cookie preferences in your browser at any time. To see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, email info@nybs.com.

Children

Our site is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We will post any change on this page with a new effective date.
